Ed Lyons  Cancer Survivor Since 2007 My name is Edward Lyons, Jr. I share my life with my wife Wendy of four years, with a son Matthew, step son Michael, his fiancée Julie, step daughter Morgan and niece Kayla. Along with my wonderful sister Sandra her family and my parents Janet and Ed we have a large loving family that is always doing things or going places. I have lived in the Santa Clarita area for almost 20 years. I am employed as a Materials Manager with an Aerospace Company in Simi Valley. I enjoy volunteering with my church Real Life and with Relay For Life. I also enjoy watching the LA Dodgers, LA Kings, anything Disney, riding roller coasters, riding my motorcycle, driving my convertible mustang and going to the beach. I am a music junkie, hard rock, soft rock, country, jazz, praise and worship. I also have Cancer. On October 31st of 2007 (just one day before my birthday of Nov 1) I was diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer. Over the next two and half years I have had surgery, almost nine weeks of radiation, and other treatments. I am not only a survivor but live every day with cancer. But I cannot allow it to slow me down, life is a wonderful gift. I Relay not only for myself as a survivor but to honor my friends who I have lost these past few months Mike Davis, John Piperi and my wonderful Aunt Kathy Monson. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at Relay to celebrate lots of birthdays.
