Relay For Life of the Santa Clarita Valley will be held May 22-23, 2010, at Central Park Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society.  The Santa Clarita Valley is proud to be home of the 3rd largest Relay in California, raising over $560,000 last year!
For a detailed description of our event, check out Relay 101.  If you have questions, see our Contacts Page or e-mail us at info@SCVRelay.org.

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at Relay in May! Visit their Team Page!

Fundraisers:
Team fundraisers are a popular way for our Teams to raise donations as well as bring the Relay spirit into our community. From restaurant fundraisers to home parties to miniature golf, there are many variations for our Teams to choose. Once scheduled, they will be promoted on our SCVRelay.org calendar and on our Fundraising Central page.

Our Teams have arranged some great Ongoing Fundraisers that raise funds for fighting cancer all year long! Look over all these great ideas, from catalog sales to innovative ideals like earning money by reviewing local business on the web! Please support our Teams' efforts!

For more information, see our Fundraising Central page or contact Info@SCVRelay.org

Earn Money for Relay and get a great Deal-of-the-Day!

Luminaria--Honor Your Friends, Your Family, Even Your Pets!
Over 4,000 personalized Luminaria line the track Saturday night as participants walk in honor, in memory, and in gratitude.  For more information, see our Luminaria page or contact our Luminaria Chairs at Luminaria@scvrelay.org.  For information on our Luminaria Slideshow, click here.

Or join us at our next Relay Committee Meeting.  For other opportunities to get involved with Relay, check out our "Menu of Opportunities" form.  If you would like to volunteer for other ACS programs such as Look Good...Feel Better or Road to Recovery, please see our Fight Back page.

Fight Back:  Our Challenge to Team Captains
Last year we had about 85% of our Teams participate in our Fight Back Team Challenge. Those teams incorporated a Fight Back message at their team campsite at our Relay For Life event. Because we had over 100 teams participate, our Event Chair, John Fortman, good-heartedly agreed to wear a grass skirt AND coconut bra for one hour at the event! It was a wonderful laugh--thanks John.

This year our goal is
100% participation! Our 2010 Event Chairs, Jen Minard and Danika Sanchez, say they will NOT be wearing grass skirts this year, but I'm sure we will come up with a fun reward for our teams! So start planning your Fight Back message early this year! For help with ideas or more information,
contact our Fight Back with Teams Chair, Laura Kelly, at FightBack@SCVRelay.org
