Heather is a breast cancer survivor, with her initial diagnosis at the age of 24.  Now 38 years old, she is currently battling stage 4 breast cancer and will be in some form of treatment for the rest of her life.  After multiple recurrences, she figures she deserves the title of “Cancer Princess”.

After her 1^st diagnosis, Heather immediately became involved with the American Cancer Society.  She volunteered for 8 years, including President of the Santa Clarita Valley Unit, before accepting a job with the organization as Health Programs Manager.  Her outreach has included  the Discovery Health Channel, Entertainment Tonight, NBC News, FOX 11 News, Shape Magazine, Self Magazine, Star Magazine and spokesperson for the Under Armour National Breast Cancer Campaign.  She recently became a member of the Lance Armstrong Foundation Young Adult Alliance Task Force, as well. 

Heather has been married for twelve years and resides in the Santa Clarita Valley with her husband, Chad, and their three kids (actually pugs) Gus, Archie and Farley.
